2025 yearbook project

as the weather cools and we enter the nesting season, in blow the winds of inspiration. we’re so lucky to be surrounded by thoughtful, sharp, witty, hot + cute, creative people. i’m inspired by many of your projects, ideas, and general aura, and i’d love to create a collection of our brainchildren to commemorate this year.

as such, i’m asking friends across the country to contribute to a yearbook of sorts — writing, artwork, photographs, teen-magazine-style quizzes, etc welcome. i’ll collect the submissions, bind them up into books, and ship them out to all of you before New Years. a little holiday treat.

yes, it is sort of a funny time to do this given the wsj’s latest reporting. but this has been rolling around in my head for years now and is more in the spirit of joni mitchell and 1970s laurel canyon and general zine revival rather than the pedophilic fascists who run this country. so it’s basically a revolutionary reclamation of the form?

in sincerity, there has been no better & more critical time in our lifetime to create something together. friendship is joy, creation is power, and all we have is each other. ♥︎

all forms of submissions are welcome, as long as it can be tucked into a physical 8.5x11 book. all tones and subject-matter are welcome, sans violence, repulsive bitterness, and relentless teasing. here are some ideas if you’re wont for inspiration:

multiple submissions are welcome, and, if you insist, your submissions can remain anonymous in the final copy. send along a picture of yourself, too, if you want your hot mug to be included in the portrait section. you could become someone’s new #1 crush.

if you don’t want to do this at all, a note (notarized and printed on official letterhead) from an employer or legal parent or guardian explaining your reason for withdrawal is fine.
